Introducing Christopher Henry Samson

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LABEH
[Mr. Criss] Christopher Henry Samson, PhD, was ordained an Apostle on August 19, 2004 in his church. He is a graduate of Cornerstone University; he graduated with honors of Israel’s Cornerstone University and Theological Seminary of USA. He also holds degree in Christian Education and Doctorate in Divinity. He is an advocate of peace and justice; he has also written a number of articles concerning the public’s interest, in local and international newspapers.
He is also accomplishe He is also an accomplished poet, whose poetry has been read on radio.

His poems include Awake Timor Leste ( Bangunlah Timor Leste), Tower of Babel, Bobonaro, A Gift of the Mirror (Kado Cermin), Palace of Ashes (Istana Abu), Law and Order (Pertoran dan Hukum), Injustice to the Poor, Celebration of Independence (Pesta Kemerdekaan); to name a few.
Through his speaking and writing, he has become known as a tireless advocate of the poor, anti-corruption, transparency and accountability, encouraging and inspiring people to change their lives. He is the author of three books; The Greatest Need is Love, Looking into Your Future through the Eyes of God and Avoiding the Paradox of Plenty: (Challenges in Sustaining Development in a New Nation)
Christopher Henry Samson was born in Rumah Adat Thama-Op, Bobonaro of an Angolan father and Timorese mother; he left Timor-Leste with his father when he was still a baby. Christopher Henry Samson returned to Timor-Leste in 1995, In search of his family, and then lived for some years in Malaysia and Indonesia. After a lifetime of separation from his parents, friends, and family members, he finally rejoined his family in Bobonaro in 2002.
He spent the first part of his life and career in a highly competitive religious sector in Africa. Christopher Henry, as he is better known amongst his family and friends, has served in many churches around the world and has worked to help people think more deeply about their lives.
He has served as a local staff member at the Office of the DSRSG, UNMISET, in Dili, and in the Ministry of Planning and Finance of Timor-Leste. Christopher Henry Samson thought in many Universities in Timor-Leste, as a visiting Lecturer including in the National University of Timor-Leste. He is also a Preacher and Teacher of the Gospel at Igreja Pantecosta at Fatuhada in Dili Timor Leste, and has been appointed to represent the church in the Pentecostal religious leaders meeting in Timor-Leste.
Christopher Henry Samson is currently the Executive Director of Lalenok Ba Ema Hotu (LABEH) and a member of the National Security Policy of the Government of Timor-Leste, he is the initiator of the Timor-Leste Network for transparency and Economic Justice (NeTEJ). He is also the civil society Focal Point to the Democratic Governance Forum of the United Nations integrated Mission in Timor-Lest (UNMIT) he is the Executive Board member of Rede Monitoring Direitus Humanus Timor Leste (RMHD), he was the Board General Secretary of FONGTIL, formally known as NGO Forum Timor-Leste, served as Executive Board Member of Centro Informasaun Independente ba Tasi Timor (CIITT), and was the Director of Administration at University Mau Lear in Dili, Timor Leste.
